July 10, 2007 -- RadiusPoint renewed
Shelby County Government contract. The
RadiusPoint and Shelby County Government
relationship has been ongoing since
2001. RadiusPoint provides invoice
processing and expense management
services for the telephone, long
distance, data, equipment and wireless
invoices. The services include the
management of the invoice from receipt
to payment and then archival of the
invoices for future needs. RadiusPoint’s
staff also provides contract compliance
reviews on a monthly basis and error
detection and reconciliation.
Shelby County Government’s Information
Technology manages the daily tasks for
seven cities and almost 100 departments.
The management of ordering equipment and
managing wireless equipment and services
takes a staff of several people. Having
the ability to go through multiple
invoices and allocate the expenses out
to the almost 100 departments was a
monumental task to be completed on a
monthly basis.
RadiusPoint set up the invoices in the
software so that the charges for each
department would be allocated
appropriately and in a timely manner.
RadiusPoint has the invoices processed
for payment and allocated within a few
days of the receipt of the invoice from
the vendor. The timeliness of the
services enables the staff to review
those important issues or services
immediately and at their desktop instead
of going through stacks of invoices.
The error detection and reconciliation
is a key component of the RadiusPoint
services that is provided on a monthly
basis. The parameters for the invoices
that include the contract or tariff
rates are set in the software. When the
invoices are brought in for processing
the errors are immediately detected and
the vendor is notified. Joseph Jackson,
IT administrator for Shelby County
government, says Radius Point typically
saves the county $46,000 a month on
telecom bills. "We're currently working
with them to automate as much of the
telecommunications functions as we can,"
Jackson says. "They cut through the fat
and show us what we need to pay, which
saves us a lot of time and manpower and
improves the accuracy of our billing."
RadiusPoint developed ExpenseLogic, a
single platform solution for Telecom and
Utility Expense Management. RadiusPoint,
a technology-based company was developed
specifically for those organizations
that are seeking an expense management
solution for Telecom, Utility, Energy
and IT expenses on one software
platform. Providing this single solution
platform is a key differentiator in the
Telecom Expense Management (TEM) and
Utility Expense Management (UEM)
industry.
ExpenseLogic is fourth generation
technology-based, problem-solving
software, used to manage the daily
issues and invoices that stem from a
company’s Telecom, Utility, Energy and
IT expenses. The Provisioning portal
allows a company to centralize and
validate the entire Procure-to-Pay
Lifecycle. Many companies are plagued
with multiple end-users placing orders
for services and equipment which makes
managing the assets and contract
compliance impossible. ExpenseLogic will
manage the orders placed through to
completion and will keep an inventory in
a centralized repository.
The RadiusPoint solution will benefit
and assist small to the very large
multiple location or department
organization in the areas of Finance,
Operations and Technology. Most
organizations will see a Return on
Investment within the first six months
of utilizing the RadiusPoint solution.
RadiusPoint enters at the point of
Expense Management confusion and brings
centralization and validation to the
procure-to-pay lifecycle of Telecom,
Utility, Energy and IT expenses.
RadiusPoint provides a broad portfolio
of business and technology expense
management solutions to help its clients
worldwide improve their business
performance. Core services consist of
Business Process Outsourcing (BPO),
Software as a Service (SaaS) and License
Software with respect to Telecom,
Utility, Energy and IT invoice and
expenses. RadiusPoint’ uses ISO
9001:2000 certified processes and meets
government regulated standards (Sarbanes
Oxley) through SAS 70 certification.
RadiusPoint’s corporate headquarters is
based in Memphis, Tennessee with a
service office on the fourth floor of
the World Trade Center in Rotterdam, The
Netherlands. A second service office is
scheduled for opening in Istanbul,
Turkey by the end of 2007.
